If you can locate the deed, it usually gives the info on the original owners. Sometimes the land went through several owners before 1790. Most settlement in Armstrong Co. was after that date. My 4th GGrandparents moved to this County in area that is now Armstrong County before 1790 but after about 1775 because my 5th GGrandparents lived in Huntingdon/Berks or Bedford Counties or the area now Blair County in the Carlisle/Frankstown area. Family split after the Revolutionary War with 2 brothers going to Crawford County and my GGrandfather going to Westmoreland with his wife and children. Supposedly, according to his nephew, Jonathan Titus of Crawford County, he had 18 children. Thanks, Daniel Titus dtitus1@earthlink.net EarthLink Revolves Around You. ==== PAWESTMO Mailing List ====
