    3. Helen - I am very interested in the same question as you. A number of German Lutheran and Reformed families in Westmoreland seem to have come from Northampton in the same 10 or 20 year stretch 1780-1800 (might have been all at the same time, but I can't pin down when or if my own came from the same place.) I am looking most specifically at SHEFFLER / SCHEFFLER HEIL MECHLING / MACHLIN SCHLEIFF / SLIFE BECKER / BAECKER KAMP / CAMP / KEMP DRUMM / DROM These are off the top of my head; there are others, and I will collect them. My first point of interest is Moore Township. Hopefully others will latch onto this too. Thanks for bringing it up. Is anyone else doing research on a family that migrated before 1790? Has a book been written about these families? When (what year) did these families arrive in Westmoreland Co., PA & why? Did they come as a group? Where they all of the same religious or ethnic background? What are their surnames? Mine are MUFFLEY - YOCKEY - CHRIST. Did they all immigrate to Northampton Co. from the same area in Europe, then onto Westmoreland Co.? Where they all on the same ship coming from Europe? What do we know about these families? Is anyone interested in sharing info on their Northampton Co. to Westmoreland Co. families? Maybe, if we all got together on this subject & share our thoughts & ideas we might find more out about them! :D Happy hunting, Helen (DCGS) ==== PAWESTMO Mailing List ==== Don Sheffler858-602-6518 www.Sheffler.orgDon@Sheffler.org
