Hello List, The family of EBERHART (Eberhardt/Everhart etc) came from somewhere in the Palatine in 1727 on the ship Friendship of Bristol. I believe they may have settled in what was then Northampton, but later Lehigh County. At the time they came here they were members of the German Reformed Church. Michael and Joseph Eberhart donated land in 1762 to the Great Swamp German Reformed Church. The family later became Lutherans. Probably some time before 1790 they moved to Westmoreland County where they stayed until about 1823 when they moved to Mercer County and later still to Iowa. Most of the information I have about them comes from a book "History of the Eberharts in Germany and the United States". It was written in 1891 and of course I have no idea exactly how accurate it is. I would like to share any infomation with others. Some of the other surnames I'm interested in are: SNYDER, STATLER AND BERLIN. Sherry
