If you have a will or court index for WESTMORELAND COUNTY and/or ADAMS Co., would you please tell me what GOODENs (or variation) are listed pre-1849? Also, is Peter Waggoner in the court and/or will index for Adams Co.? I am trying to locate the parents of Catharine GOODEN (b. abt. 1777), whose father left her money when he died. Peter Waggoner of Adams Co. PA was holding this money for her. This fact is referenced in Catharine's deceased husband's John Smit's will, but John did not say what Catharine's father's name was. I am hoping that an Adams county court record, or a will for Peter Waggoner, who died in 1851 in Adams Co. PA might say. An account record for Peter Waggoner, deceased, gives interest to Mrs. Smith, gives money to Magdalena Smith, and mentions Dr. J. N. Smith. There are many other names mentioned in the account record too. I need the court or will records for Peter Waggoner and/or Catharine's father will help me make some progress on Catharine's line. I only have bits of information, and I think that these records may help me make sense of some of the bits.
