Have the gravestone records ever been published for this old cemetery near Barr's Ft.? Anyone else working on a family buried there? I am trying to locate info on Herman/Harmon Girts/Girt, who had a warrant there next to the Barr family in 1785, surveyed 1787, for 329 acres. Herman Girts died about 1793, and his sons John & Henry moved to Armstrong Co. I am wondering if Herman's wife Rachel is buried with him at Ft. Barr Cem. This old fort is supposed to be about a mile from New Derry, Derry Twp. On the 1867 & 1876 maps for Derry Twp., it is called "Ft. Gilson", for the family that later owned the land. Thanks for any input on this area. Janet Warter
