This post caught my eye bacause I live in Martinez, (Contra Costa County) CA. Didn't know there was a "sister city" near my Grandma's home town. "My" Martinez is birthplace of Joe Dimaggio, home of John Muir, was a pony express stop, and claims to be the place where the martini was invented.
