    1. Rahannshonneck?

    3. I have a copy of a 1774 Westmoreland County land record for John Baker. The only mention of a location is: "at the head of the east branch of Rahannshonneck". The handwriting is bad and the a's, o's and e's are questionable. A list of watercourses in modern Westmoreland has nothing like that. Can anyone tell me the name of that watercourse and it's location? I realize that Westmoreland was divided into several counties later, but on the tax lists from 1783 through 1789 he is in the "South district of Huntington twp.". Would that be the present South Huntingdon twp.? What happened to Armstrong township? It isn't on modern maps. Any help would be appreciated. Jim . . James R.
