    3. Anbody out there familiar with Famiy Tree Maker? I sometimes get stuck with a date that combines 2 years - like 1742/43. I keep trying to make it 1742, and it keeps coming back as 1742/43. Any help here? Tom

    3. Hi, You can change the cutoff year for double dates by going to File, then Preferences, then Dates & Measures, then Double Dates, and finally Cutoff year. However, I strongly recommend you read the write up on double dates under the Help tab (look up double dates). The reason for the double date is due to a switch from the Julian calendar to the Gregorian calendar-- and the timing of when different cultures made this switch. I was going to cut and paste the information but am unsure of the copyright laws around that even if I cite the source. Hope this helps, Sonia ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tom Chapman" <SurfCityTom@socal.rr.com> To: <PAWESTMO-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, April 17, 2005 12:56 AM Subject: software question > Anbody out there familiar with Famiy Tree Maker?
