There will be a Tarr reunion on Sunday June 26, 2005. All descendants of the Tarr family who founded Tarrs, PA, in the 1700's are invited. The reunion will be at the volunteer fire department in Tarrs. The volunteer fire department is in the East Huntington Municipal building in Tarrs. Directions: the main road through the small town of Tarrs is Route 31. Look for a C&C Lumber sign and turn there and the municipal building is on the right. If you are not familiar with this area, one of the most prominent places in Tarrs is the cemetery. If you left the cemetery, you would turn left and then go down the hill about two-tenths of a mile and over the railroad tracks and make a left turn at the sign. There will be a potluck lunch at noon and the reunion starts at 1PM. Tarrs was founded by John Baltzer Tarr and his wife Maria Catherina in the 1700's. They were from Germany and changed their name from Dürr for an unknown reason. John Baltzer Tarr was formerly known as Johannes Balthaser Dürr. Hope to see you at the reunion. John Tarr
