I am descended from Jane MANSPERGER (1812-1876) who married Samuel BLACK in 1828. She was the d/o John Mansperger, a Captain in the York Co., PA Militia. The family was traveling to Ohio when John died in 1824 on the Ludwick farm in Westmoreland Co. Jane had the following siblings: Sarah (1810-1882) m Robert HUNTER John (1817-1893) m #1 Isabella McGrew #2 Sarah Jane Oglebay. He settled in Mt Ephraim, OH. George (1821-1877) married Susannah Shaler in 1840 and settled in Missouri Maria b 1825 lived in North Huntington Twp. Was single. If anyone is researching this family, a reunion is scheduled for Aug 2 at Coopers Rock State Forest, 13 miles east of Morgantown, WV. I can provide more information if anyone is interested.
