They didn't start keeping death certificates or birth certificates for Westmoreland County until 1893 and then only until 1905. So if you had a person who died in this time period you can get the certificate at Westmoreland Courthouse. After 1905 you must get it from Pa records at New Castle Pa. If she was Catholic and lived in Latrobe there is a good chance that she belonged to St. Vincents Church.
