Morning Herald; Uniontown, Fayette Co, PA - May 15, 1952 - pg 6, col 2 WHITAKER, JAMES AARON - Aged 73, of Newtown Site, Dilliner, died Tuesday May 13, 1952 in the Greene County Memorial Hospital from injuries sustained in a mine accident. He was a member of the UMWA Local 8649. Survivors are his wife, Edith Riggens Whitaker and these children, Arleigh of Pt Marion; Victor of Philadelphia; Gerald of Atlanta, Ga; Mrs Olive Lowden and Beatrice Lowden of Smithfield R D 3; Marjorie Whitaker of Mt Pleasant; two step sons David Turner of Cleveland, Ohio; Charles Koback with U S Army, two brothers and one sister, Jacob Whitaker of Bridgeport; Gene Frankhouser of Connellsville; Mrs Jane Carrick of Brownsville; thirteen grandchildren. Friends are being received in the Herod Home, Pt Marion until Saturday May 17 at 2 p.m., the hour of service with Rev M T Hullman officiating. Interment will be in Wolf's Cemetery, Dilliner.
