Unfortunately, some went to Pittsburgh to get married by a JP and weren't able to produce proof, but fortunately, the relatives from around the country wrote letters supporting their marriage. . There are records from 1820 to 1865, however. I found Benjamin Moore married to Catherine Albert, 23 Oct. 1856.
