Hey Richard, Re: Leah Elizabeth Steiner I have first husband was Darwin FIX and there were 3 daughters: Mamie, Agnes and Jennie. But no dates. This was from Janet K. Warter awhile back. Then she married 2nd husband George W. Miller - and from one of your sites was listed 2 daughters Agnes Adele and Jennie. Mamie could easily be the Mary S. from the 1900 census, and since children from previous marriage were often not designated as such on census records, all 3 daughters could actually be from Leah's first marriage. And in light of the 1900 census stating Leah was the mother of 3 children, 3 living ... I haven't seen this census myself, so can you tell if the 1st husband's name better fits Dewin FOX or Darwin FIX? Also, would you let me know Jennie Miller's husband and their children's names? Susan, This whole thing makes a little more sense now...at least to me! :D What I have found is an 1880 census image (16 Jun 1880 - Stanton, Westmoreland Co., PA - Roll T9_1204, Page 47.1000, Enumeration 111, Lines 11-13) listing a DERVIN F. FOX (transcribed on ancestry.com as DEWIN F. FOX), LEAH E. FOX, and MARY S. FOX. What I have found about Dervin is that there is an 1870 census image (16 JUN 1870 - Hempfield Twp., Westmoreland Co., PA - Roll M593_1465, Page 261, Lines 6-9) listing Dervin F. Fox, a father John (age 63), a mother Mary A. (age 54), and a brother John M. (age 12). I am apt to believe that that is the same Dervin F. Fox. As far as Jennie's children and husband, here is what I have: Jennie Miller married C.E. (Charles Edward) Brinker on April 26, 1906 (Westmoreland Co. marriage license 21836, dated April 26, 1906). Charles and Jennie had two daughters, as far as I can tell so far: Althea Fern Brinker, born ~1907, and Agnes G. Brinker, born ~1909. These are from census images for 1910, 1920, and 1930. Charles died on April 13, 1943. I know this because I found his draft card from World War II, with a line drawn through it and a died date recorded on it. :D Hope this helps! Richard M.
