    3. Rich, Nate has resigned from Rootsweb which left a need for a replacement for Westmorland County and other counties Nate managed. So the new site is the replacement for the PAGenWeb project. PAGenWeb is affiliated with USGenWeb. My understanding is that Nate's PARoots sites will continue on his server. Nate can correct me if I mistated anything. Nate was the first to congratulate me on the new site and sent me files from the original PAGenWeb Westmoreland county in case I could use them. And for those of you who have never heard of me <G> I manage your neighbor Fayette County http://www.usgennet.org/usa/pa/county/fayette/ and previously managed Washington County. I like to create websites that I would visit and I like county sites with data. I have been working with genealogy websites and lists since 2000. I have been doing family my own research since 1992. I grew up as an Army Brat so I have no home town or lots of them depending on how I look at it. My ancestors seemed to move every 10 years too. I believe that the website belongs to the contributors as a place to share their transcriptions. I will never remove your data. If you donate to Westmoreland PAGenWeb, it will stay on the website when I turn it over. I have already turned over several county sites, complete with all the data I and others put there. So, that is a bit about who I am and what I think about website work. 3. Hi Everyone, Chris does a great job with her other sites and this one will be a good one too.The Fayette site and this one often have information that involve both counties. Nate did a fine job and it is wonderful that the work will continue. Glad that you have taken it on Chris! 1. [PAWESTMO] PAGenWeb update
    2. Christina Hunt
    3. My thanks to Dawne, Shirley and Ellis for your nice emails. If any of you have ancestors in Fayette County we have a neat Yahoo list where Dawne and others help people find their ancestors daily (or so it seems). You can see the messages without joining. A little update on the Westmoreland site. We have added the list of Rostraver Grant names kindly contributed by Raymond Popp. And we have started a Photo Gallery for ancestors. If you would like to add a photo just email it to me. I only ask that they be from about WWI or earlier. Nothing quite like finding an ancestor's photo. I got a great photo of an ancestor of mine (born in 1820) through meeting someone online who had it - so you never know what might be out there. I hope we can turn up a few. Thanks again.
