    3. I didn't know Grandview was that old. I guess it's possible there were some wood markers that have not survived. What about the possibility of your ancestor being buried in one of the mass graves from the Flood and not having an individual marker? PA Genealogy; Cambria PA Subject: Re: [PAWESTMO] Westmoreland County Genealogy Project Update CEMETERY PAGE I have had the same problem recently in Cambria Co.  It is so frustrating to know that people are buried in a certain plot (Grandview Cemetery) only to find there is no headstone.  Is it possible that these graves were marked with wooden markers that have since rotted away?  My assumption was that they were so poor as to not afford a lasting memorial. Is there a record of Burials without Tombstones. I am searching for graves from the late 1700 to early to mid 1800 s. 3. I would be happy to do lookups in the transcription of Brush Creek Cemetery, if that would help anyone. Part of this cemetery is transcribed at PA-Roots and I can also help you with that search, if you like. Carol C.
