Nancy, This is off topic but I just learned that my great-grandparents lived on property on Brewer Hill owned by the Karns family. This family has been a bit difficult to research. Alissa, I wish I could help. Karns is my married name and my husband's family came straight from Germany to Cumberland County, Pennsylvania (Carlisle/Mechanicsburg area) and stayed here. I haven't worked on that line too terribly much but his particular branch settled here in the 1700's and stayed here. I have send some Karns listed elsewhere and I'm sure some of them are a wandering branch of his family but I haven't got back that far on them.
