Hi Rau, Row, Row researchers, Thought I would pass this on. I subscribe to the CELLE Newsletter. In the April 2008 edition there is an article titled 'WANTED: Parents of Betsy Sell Rowe, m.a. 1781, Northampton Co., Pa. The article generally eliminated the possibility of Betsy's parents being John Sell (son of Hendrick.) That particular Elizabeth/Betsy married Phillip Jacob Leicester 26 Sep 1772. The article states: "Their children were all baptized between 1773 and 1795 at the Indianfield Lutheran Church in Montgomery County, PA; and Elizabeth Sell's brother Anthony Sell was a sponsor at two of these baptisms. Therefore this Elizabeth Sell was not likely the one who married Andrew Rowe abt 1781." I further explored the possibility with the author, Carolyn Cell Choppin, and Dick Sell the possibility children could have been baptized after the death of their father, Phillip, but they kindly provided dates of birth for the children that made it impossible that she could have been married to my Andrew Row in 1781. Now we are left with no idea of who Betsy Sell's parents are, but at least we are now able to eliminate one possibility. It is far better to have no idea than one that is incorrect. We must keep on looking. Does anyone out there have any ideas? Andy Rowe
