Excerpts from: Biographical and Portrait Cyclopedia Henry Wilson Story, a lawyer of Johnstown, is the only child of William Sloan and Rebecca Ellen (Dixon) Storey, and was born March 31, 1851, in Blairsville, Indiana County, PA. William Sloan Story (father) was born 1821, died 1882. He was the fifth child of Joseph Story and Catherine Kiser. Joseph Storey, (grandfather) born in Massachusetts in 1783, moved to NJ, whence he came to Westmoreland Co. PA about 1800. Catherine Kiser (grandmother) born 1785, died at New Derry, Westmoreland Co., PA 1866. She came from Frederick City, MD. Brothers and sisters; Isaac Kiser, William, Jacob, Joseph, **John, Sarah who intermarried with Jacob Sidler, of Dane Co., Wisconsin, Mary intermarried with Samuel Sloan, of near Blairsville and Susan Kiser. John Kiser (great-grandfather) and Susan Leis (great-grandmother) originally came from Hagerstown, MD and about 1793 located on a farm, now known as the Kiser farm, near Latrobe, Westmoreland Co., PA and resided there until 1810, when they moved to a farm near Congress, Wayne Co., Ohio, and where they permanently located, where they died. (They were the parents of Catherine (Kiser) Story.
