Hello,  I don't know any thing about Shoup, but the Lemon family lived near the Covode family in Westmoreland County.  The Covode family was  from York County.  Having a first name of Lemon would to me, indicate some relationship....be it friend or relative of the Lemmon family.  The little I've looked for Lemmon, I've discovered it most likely was LeMoyne.  I have not found any connection of Lemmon to my Covode family, except locations of their homesteads in Westmoreland County.  tullycross2@comcast.net
