    1. [PAWESTMO] Frank Piper Nicholson
    2. According to the CADI, a cousin Frank Piper Nicholson died 28 June 1953 in San Francisco. California Death Index, 1940-1997 Name: Frank Nicholson Social Security #: 0 Sex: Male Birth Date: 1 Jan 1897 Birthplace: Pennsylvania Death Date: 28 Jun 1953 Death Place: San Francisco Frank was in WWI as an enlistee. He served overseas and was disabled by mustard gas. He married Josephine Crusan and had a son, Charles William Nicholson in 1934. He and his wife divorced and he lived with his mother in Derry, Westmoreland Co., PA at least until 1942 when he was named on the WWII Draft Registration. He was single and unemployed. He disappeared and his son had him declared legally dead after 7 years. The CADI is the first indication of where his father went. Unfortunately, Frank's son died recently, before we researchers found his father. Still, if anyone can find an obit or news article, something to indicate a final resting place for our missing cousin, we would appreciate it. I did check the Veterans' data bases and found nothing for him. If his grave can be found, I want to have the Vets' organizations recognize his service. Shirley Maynard Hampton, VA
