A miner named John Sattot, employed in the Port Royal mines near West Newton, was instantly killed this, Saturday morning at 7 o'clock. He was about 35 years of age and unmarried. Coroner Hammer was notified, but deputized Squire Washabaugh, of West Newton, to hold inquest if deemed necessary. Daniel Reamer accompanied Henry Wolf to the Soldiers' Home at Erie today, the papers of admission which were lost for a few days were found and Mr. W. went on his way rejoicing. Mr. Reamer will return Monday. Marriage licenses were granted in Kittanning this week to Richard Poindexter and Annie Williams; George B. Shumaker and Luella Frier all of this county. Mrs. Dr. W. T. Larimer, of Allegheny City, died suddenly on Wednesday night at 11 o'clock. She was well known in this county, her home being in Saltsburg for many years. Her husband is well and favorable known throughout the northern portion of this county, where he taught for years. Mrs. Larimer's maiden name was McCrea. She leaves a husband and two small children.
