    3. If you have access to Ancestry, look at the Land Ownership Atlases. I know the 1860 one lists grist mills, quarries, and other businesses. I'm sure the others do as well. I know there is a quarry in West Hempfield near Salunga and one in East Petersburg/Manheim area. I'm not sure if you are local, but if you are there is a guy at Roots that sells these maps at a reasonable cost. (Or, you can walk a few stands further away and get a photocopied version for free from the realtor.)
