Dawne: I found an old message from you, but I don't know if I responded or not. So, here is what I have on my Hunter line. There were many William Hunters in Westmoreland Co. but I find little on mine. My gggf, William Irwin Hunter was b. in Franklin Co., 13 Dec 1780 (parents: Elizabeth Irwin and ??). His sister Martha William Rainey and lived in Mercer Co. in 1805. William md. a Miss Ray (Rhea,Wray,..) in 1808 and moved to Westmoreland Co., Mt. Pleasant, children: Eleanor b. 30 Dec 1810; Elizabeth b. 10 Jun 1813; Martha b. 4 Jan 1816; William R(ay?) b. 22 Jan 1819. Miss Ray died in 1824. William then married Jane McCrellias on 30 Oct 1826. Their children: Mary b. 16 Oct 18 1827; Isabelle b. 15 Mar 1830; Anna b. 4 Dec 1831; Rachel b. 22 Mar 1836 so far all of these children were born in Westmoreland Co. The rest were b. in Ashland, OH: Dr. Thomas Smith b. 12 Dec 1839; Rose b. 28 Feb 1843 and Jane b. 20 Mar 1846. My line came from Thomas, and we remained in OH until 1955. Only two boys- Thomas S and William R., (Esq.),who md. Eliza Jane Wirsing and they had 11 children: ; John W.; Thomas Ray; Anna May; William Irwin; Henry Newton; Charles C.; Walter J.; Jesse W.; unknown; James J. and Josephine. Of their boys (following the Hunter line,) James J. moved to Irwin; John W. remained in Westmoreland Co.; Thomas Ray lived in Donegal, md. Emma and had William (1870), Edwin (1871), Annie (1873), Bud (1875), Mattie (1876) and Sadie (1879); William Irwin lived in Greensburg, md. Elizabeth and had daughter Estella in 1876; Charles C. md. Mary, and they had a daughter, Florence, in 1879. I also have some info on the girls' spouses.
