I have a John Philips, born in Franklin County in 1786. He married a Rachel Hunter, born in 1796. John was living in Mount Pleasant before joining his father, Jacob in Allegheny Twp. It looks like there may be a connection. William md. a Miss Ray (Rhea,Wray,..) in 1808 and moved to Westmoreland Co., Mt. Pleasant, children: Eleanor b. 30 Dec 1810; Elizabeth b. 10 Jun 1813; Martha b. 4 Jan 1816; William R(ay?) b. 22 Jan 1819. Miss Ray died in 1824. William then married Jane McCrellias on 30 Oct 1826. Their children: Mary b. 16 Oct 18 1827; Isabelle b. 15 Mar 1830; Anna b. 4 Dec 1831; Rachel b. 22 Mar 1836 so far all of these children were born in Westmoreland Co. The rest were b. in Ashland, OH: Dr. Thomas Smith b. 12 Dec 1839; Rose b. 28 Feb 1843 and Jane b. 20 Mar 1846.
