I recently was reviewing old queries from the "pamonval" archives, and found a post dated 11/10/1999 from a LNMallett@aol.com. In the post it states that "Isaac had a son named Jacob. Not sure if this could have been the Jacob. In his will, he leaves property to son Jacob and daughters ?, Elizabeth, Susan, Peter, Lady, Abraham, Mary, Catherine, Margaret, Emma, and ?. ... Dated June 29, 1857." I have a second great-grandmother Margaret/Margret nee Frantz married to Richard Wilmot, 1843 by a justice of the peace in Leechburg, Armstrong Co., PA. Might anyone know how to go about find a copy of this will? Would like to further verify my Margaret's descent from Isaac Frantz. Several years ago I wrote to NARA and received a copy of a pension file for Margaret's son Samuel who died in the Civil War. In the pension file it definitely states her name as Margaret Frantz (dau of Isaac Frantz.) The file contains the names and dates of birth for Margaret and Richard Wilmot's ten children, all of whom were born in Westmoreland Co., PA. Does anyone have an index of wills filed in Westmoreland Co., for the date of June 1857? Many thanks for any help or suggestions. Marybeth C. acmbjc@aol.com
