    3. Umm, I have pictures of my 4gr grandfather's family. My family (at that time) was composed of quite a few artists and what the pictures are, are copies of the paintings and drawings made at that time. So don't just automatically disregard these pictures. -----Original Message----- From: Jack O'Connor Sent: Tuesday, April 24, 2012 10:11 AM To: pawestmo@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [PAWESTMO] Fuller family (Michael Wayne) I once saw a picture in one of the trees that was captioned, "McGuire Settlement 1790". 1790!, who had cameras in 1790. 3. HI Michael Thanks for your reply, Henry died in september 1900 in Cleveland buried in Woodland Cemetery No parents on his death certificate. No obituary or other Birth from 1819-24 he said he was born in Washington county?? PA 1879 On the 4th of April when Henry was applying for pension he stated in an affidavit " My age is according to records and my understanding and information just about 63 years last January. I was born in Pennsylvania now live in Leechburg." On the 1850 census his age is 26 1860 36 and 1870 46 it his age goes a bit off after that. He married Mary Ann nee Rose in Tarentum in Allegheny county 1846 had 6 children. Mary Ann Rose was born in Hempfield Westmoreland I believe they belonged to the Zion Lutheran Church. Her parents are Christopher and Elizabeth Rose I thought he may connect to the Magdalena FULLER on the 1880 Census in Westmoreland. Thanks for your time kind regards Dianna

If you want information on the children of Carolyn and James, I would be happy to give you what I have. 1870 Saltsburg, Indiana Co., PA Census Rebecca FULLER born abt 1806 in PA is living with her daughter Caroline and husband James Alcorn and their children. She is widowed. Caroline Fuller and James Alcorn were married 31 Jan 1843 at the Saltsburg United Presbyterian Church Saltsburg, Conemaugh Twp., Indiana Co., PA. James died 23 Aug 1870 and Caroline died 4 May 1906. I found short obits for them on Ancestry in the Indiana Progress newspaper Extracted from Indiana Progress of 1 Sept 1870 James Alcorn died on 23rd of August 1870 for paralysis. He was a merchant in his 56th year. Indiana Progress (Indiana, Pennsylvania) > 1906 > May > 9 Mrs Caroline ALCORN of Saltsburg died on Friday aged 80. Her husband died a number of years ago but 2 sons and 4 daughters survive their parents. Internment was made at Saltsburg on Monday. JoAnn Cupp

    3. Dianna, That reads as Penn Township. There is a Magdalena Fuller in the 1850 census, husband Carl, children, Susan, Frances, Mary & Peter. However, they are living in St Genevieve, MO. Both Carl & Magdalena born in Germany; children, Missouri. Pennsylvania did not require statewide record keeping until 1906. I believe from 1892-1906, the counties were supposed to record vital statistics, but those records aren't great, but you might get lucky and her death was recorded. Your other option would be church records. Give me your info on Henry (birth/death, etc) and I'll see if I can find anything else. 3. I think your best bet would be to see if you can find her on any old tax records. They did tax the widows, not much, but they did tax them and then you could narrow down her approx.. year of death and then scan the old newspapers of the day. 3. Hi Everyone I'm doing research into Henry Fuller and his wife Mary Ann ROSE. Mary Ann was born in Hempfield Westmoreland around 1828 to Christian ROSE and Elizabeth? We are still trying to find Henry Fuller's parents though On the 1820 Census for Christian ROSE Redbank Twp (Westmoreland?) PA., there is on the same page a John FULLER. I would like any information on the John Fuller living next to or near Christian Rose please, don't know if this could be Henry's father or not. There is also a James Fuller (mispelt HULLER) in Westmoreland on the 1830 Census, Henry born 1819-1824. Also Christian Rose is living next to Henry and Mary Ann ROSE/ Fuller in 1850 (Christian being Mary Ann's father) in 1850 in Armstrong County, so the families must have wanted to stay close to each other. Many thanks kind regards Dianna from OZ
