The Main Carnegie Library (in Oakland) has microfilm viewers that can print copies at .10 per copy. The microfilm are in filing cabinets and you fetch them yourself. There is no index to search names, but since you have the date, you should be fine. I don't know the procedure at the branch libraries. Wexford, Ireland.  She was the daughter of Patrick CULLEN and Bridget ROARK.  Catherine was born Sept. 12, 1865 in 0925, Ovoca, Co. Wicklow, Ireland.  Their first child Miles was born in Ire.  All the rest were born in the States.  My understanding is that James came over first to work and then sent for Catherine.  Bridget came with Catherine as a midwife.  At some point after their arrival in the States James and Catherine changed the spelling of their last name from LACEY to LEACY.  They settled in Fayette Co., PA.  1. Gloria, There a raft of McClains /McClean /McLean In the county. Col. Alexander McClean's bio. is given in Ellis' History of Fayette Co. He was the youngest of 7 brothers, born in York Co. in 1746. There is no mention of his parents or where the older brothers were born. The Col. had 10 children, a son Joseph b.1777 and a son John b.1788. I'm trying to connect Joseph to my branch - his son Joseph Jr. Married Eliza McKlveen and their descendants are my line who lived in Donegal Twp. The Col. was a surveyor who ran the Mason Dixon line! Listers: While searching for information about my FRANTZ line, I found an online site that lists a John STITT, b. abt. 1789; d. 1832, and an Esther FRANTZ, b. 4 Apr 1794; d. 18 Aug 1850. Hello Listers-- I've just begun researching the MCCLAIN's in Westmoreland County. Specifically, i'm looking at Alexander Mcclain, sr who came over from Ireland, his son John, born 1783, john's son Abner, born 1826, Abner's son Albert (b 1864/5) and Albert's son, Albert, b 1912/13. If I am on the right track, Albert Jr is my sister in laws grandfather. I have no other documentation besides census, and some historical material i've found online regarding alexander sr. I am in the process of trying to get the death certificate of albert jr who died in florida, to prove that Albert sr. and Katherine are his parents. does any of this sound familiar/connected to your research? Hello again list, Sorry to bother you again about this cemetery. I live in a suburb of Phila., so I went on line to get an address or phone number for Central (Feightner's) Cemetery. I spent a lot of time using all different locations in trying to find it, then I did a listing under the general topic of cemeteries and found out there were no cemetery listings at all. Does any one know if this cemetery is still open and has current burials? If so, does any one have a phone book for this area and, could you please do an address and phone number lookup for me? I would like to call or write them to see if they have records from the 1750 period. I did call the Westmoreland County Historical Society, as suggested, and I found out they do not have records around 1750. Another suggestion from the list was to contact Baltzer Meyer, which I did. I am waiting to hear further from Baltzer Meyer about a one person look up in the 1750 time frame, I was informed it will cost about $50.00 to $60.00. Therefore, any help about an address or phone number for Central Cemetery is GREATLY appreciated! Thank you! Lynne Smiley
