To the sponsor: I have finally read the directions since I subscribed to the Westmoreland County List. I have sent a message which did not get published so hope it will soon. I Live in the central valley of California qnd belong to a genealogy group at a senior center in a neighboring town. I have searched for many families but this family from Westmoreland Co is my gt gt grandfather on my maternal side, William Edmund BOWEN 1806-1875--m Maria GELVIN 1810-1897. In 1850 they lived in New Florence and owned a woolen mill according to the census and family stories. I want to know more about the mill. How long he owned it, the name and anything else. I have had no luck any where I heve searched. I hope someone can tell me something. Thank you Virginia
Who do I send my Obits to so all can have access to them? Thanks Barb Lorensen
Good morning, I would like to know if anyone has an extra cope of the Cook Book that the "Church of Christ" made up to sell last year or a couple years ago.. I think I was told it cost 5 dollars at the time... If you have a copy please mail me at lllorensen@socket.net Thanks so much Barb Lorensen
Art, I'm interested in "Resurvey of Miller's Chance". I have a Millers Chance 50 acres, warranted 13 June 1760 to Michael Miller. This Michael Miller is my (as far as I know) immigrant ancestor. His land was in Maryland until the Mason Dixon Line was established and then most of it was in Pennsylvania but some remained in Maryland.
