Dawn Temple: I do not respond very often and thanks for your help on many issues. The Rev War pensions issue is very interesting. My wife and I drove to the David Library just outside of Philadelphia a few years ago for the record of a pension for a great (Several times) grandfather Isaiah CRANDALL. There are several pages to each pensions. However, you now can pull "all" Rev War pensions on Heritage quest. from home. It may be prohibitive to pay for that service independently but many library's include it in their databases. The best deal is the Godfrey Library in Con. ($35 a year for their whole program including Heritage). john B John Borland JBORL19492 @aol.com
Just thought I'd let everyone knw that the Westmoreland County tax lists 1786-1810 are available from the National Genealogical Society on sale for 6.00-with postage 13.30! Still it is usually 12.00 so it is a savings. Here is a link-once there go to the bookstore. http://www.chop.edu/consumer/pat_care_fam_serv/staff_profile_page.jsp?id=47919&lid=27762 There also is an index to Revolutionary War Pensions if you need that type of information for 47.00 on sale. A little steep, but it is less than the 85.99 they usually charge! Dawne

My grandmother is buried in Yukon cemetery but I can't find her grave, and I was told there isn't a plot map. Is anyone familiar with this place? Georgia

Mari, It appears your cousin Frank Dyer couldn't trace the Robert Gibson family any further back either, from his postings in the online LDS databases. Unfortunately, he does not show your John as one of the five children with Elvia Bartlett. You might contact him to see if he has more data. ======================== FamilySearch™ International Genealogical Index v5.0 North America Husband Robert Gibson Birth: 07 MAR 1793 , Westmoreland, Pennsylvania Christening: Marriage: 30 JAN 1817 Marietta, , , Ohio Death: 19 MAY 1866 Wife Elvia Bartlett Birth: 14 MAY 1797 Providence, Providence, Rhode Island Marriage: 30 JAN 1817 Marietta, , , Ohio Death: APR 1838 Children 1. Usually the recommended format is "name SURNAME, place, date". Many people will immediately delete messages with titles like "New to List", "Genealogy", and "Help".
