Hi Christine, Your Snyder may be related to mine - descended from Ludwick 1768 - 1849, tho I do not have your Leah ours lived in & around Mt Pleasant Twp. They came from the eastern part of the state to Fayette County, then on to Westmoreland County & many to Ohio. Hello Everyone, Does anyone have any tombstone photos for Harrold's Lutheran (St. John's Reformed) Cemetery in Hempfield Township (WCHS ref #248). I am putting together a page of a few photos from this cemetery, and would like to include any more that could be found. This is for the PAGenWeb Archives Tombstone Project. http://www.rootsweb.com/~usgenweb/pa/westmoreland/tsimages/harrold-luth.htm I thank you in advance for any assistance you can offer. Sincerely, Ellis Michaels Co-Coordinator, PAGenWeb Tombstone Photo Project ellisrn@earthlink.net If you would not be forgotten, as soon as you are dead and rotten, either write things worth reading, or do things worth the writing. Tricia, As far as I know, there isn't any death index or obits back that far. You are going to have a difficult time finding his exact date. Even if you find him in a cemetery, the chances are that a stone that old has surely crumbled away. There is a Jacob Milliron in the will index for Westmoreland County. The year for that will is 1799. Perhaps that will might indicate when he died if it is the same person. Good luck! As they say the "squeaking wheel ..." Still searching for descendants of Patrick KELLY, b.abt. 1820. Galway, Ireland and Mary Ann DOLAN, b. 1825, Galway, Ireland. Mary Ann arrived in the US with two brothers, Martin and Thomas, c. early 1840's, where Martin settled in Centre Co., PA and married Ida Marie REEDER. He was a Capt. in the Civil War, and died there in 1872 (I have him in the 1850-60-70 PA censuses). Thomas married Julia/Judith KANE, 1854, Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co. PA and eventually settled in Westmoreland Co., PA, where he died in 1877. Mary Ann DOLAN married #1 Patrick KELLY [parents of two children: Patrick/Patsy, b. abt. 185/52, PA; and Mary Anna, b. abt. 1854/55, PA]. Mary Ann DOLAN then married a Richard HALL, as two sons, John and Richard are born in Tyrone Twp., Blair Co., PA, 1857 and 1859, and baptized at St. Matthew's Catholic church. Two daugthers are born in Allegheny Co., in 1862 and 1865. PA censuses for 1860-70-80 show Huntingdon and Allegheny counties for this family. So when and where did Patrick KELLY (from Ireland) die, and where is he buried? Since these three DOLAN siblings were in several counties, it could have been any of them. Thank you for your time, and hope to make a long lost connection! <G> Marybeth C. acmbjc@aol.com northeast Ohio

Do you have any idea which Brinker family you are tracing? There are many in Mt. Pleasant Twp. Dawne
Albert's History of Westmoreland has five Brickers: Pg.467 Roster of Company C, Eleventh Pennsylvania Volunteers.__(Three Years'Service) Recruited at Latrobe. David Bricker, died Nov.15, 1861 Private W.H. Bricker, Dec. 20, 1862 Page 587 Derry Township "Along the Conemaugh and Black Lick, ...................Jacob Bricker" Page 471 "Roster of Company F, Eleventh Pennsylvania Volunteer (Three Years Service) Recruited at Salem John G. Bricker, died Dec. 10 1861." Page 495 "Livermore Presbyterian Church ...............The Accessions to the eldership up to 1874 were......... Joseph Bricker.........." I would wonder if the middle name of "Fidley" might really have been Finley? There were many Finley/Findley/Findlay/and one Findy. The name Brinker is also very close to Bricker and there are many of those. Good luck. Shirley
My gr. grandmother Anna Mariah Bricker has been a brick wall for me......Her death certificate (1930) says she was born in Springhill, Pa. She married Irvin Echard and they lived in or around White or Bullskin Twp. Fayette County-----My Uncle said she was an orphan and she to was blind . She was a very short woman.... as was all of her sons.....Caleb my grandfather, David, Daniel, Jacob, William and James.... As near as I can figure out the family moved to Ohio just west of Akron about 1909. If this rings a bell to anyone please write and I will be happy to share all I have...Jackie Mitchell
