My records (some dating back to Bible entries and family interviews back in the 1960's) show John and Ann's son William born in Ireland in 1801 and dying in 1883. They also show him marrying Nancy McChesney born in Ireland in 1803 and dying in 1885. I show one son, John G., born of this marriage in 1833, who married Susannah Errett: Eight children came from this marriage: 1. Sarah Agnes (m. William Naser) 2. Mary Martha Jane 3. Adam Errett 4. Elizabeth Elenor Leonora 5. James Michael 6. Annie Alice 7. David John 8. William Brown I know that the above differs from the information in your message to the list (below). What do you think? My great-great-great-grandparents (John and Ann Morrow Graham) came to what is now Monroeville in 1828 from County Down, Ireland. John died in 1830 and I do not know where he was buried. I do not know where Ann is buried. They brought four sons with them in 1828: James, John, Christopher and William. Their daughter and son-in-law, Agnes and Hugh Maxwell, joined them two years later. I would like to note with many thanks the tremendous effort put forth by Ellis Michaels, a frequent contributor to this Board. He had "finished" placing the records of the Crossroads Presbyterian Church Cemetery online back in April, and announced to all of us that it was completed. Unfortunately, at the time he did not realize that he was not using the current records of the cemetery, and had to use information from the stones. In early May, I gave him access to the current records of the cemetery, and he obliged by re-doing much of his initial effort. He is finished!. Even though this cemetery is in Allegheny County, it is on the border of Westmoreland, and a large portion of the families buried there are from the early farms of nearby Westmoreland County. Congrats, Ellis! Job well-done! Ellis, could you please call me again so we can do the transfer of records. I would also like to thank Jack N. for providing the husbands names of two daughters of Hugh Maxwell.

If the husband gave the land for the church, perhaps the Deed Book might have some clues. I would check the newspaper of the era of the land donation. I know I read about my ancestor who was involved with some thing in regards to St. Vincents or the Girls school that was established in relation to that Catholic establishment. He was not Catholic. It was in a Greensburg paper of the era/date. Shirley

Holy Family was started in 1853. If your David Williams was a contractor for the railroad, he donated the land that Holy Family stands on.
