Hello, I've just begun work on John Leonard Brown. I have a bio on this man and wonder if anyone else is working on these people. Obadiah Brown was born in Rockwell, NY. He was the son of William Brown probably from England. Obadiah married Mary Weist in Ulster county, NY and had 11 children: Nancy J. married Thomas Sheeley of Ulster; Julia A married Richard Smith of Lackawack, Ulster; William H. of Liebhardt, NY; Catherine married James Allen of Ulster; Lydia M. died at age 12; Mary married Joel Bennett of Ulster; Ellen M. married Sanford Bennett, Ulster; James W. lived Chester, Orange co. NY; Emily M married John H. Brooks of Ulster; margaret T married Peter Conklin of Passaic NJ and John Leonard b. May 11, 1850 in Sundown, Ulster co, NY. John Leonard married Angeline Hortense Butler she b. Mar 8, 1835 in Sterling PA. she dau of George W. Butler b. 1812 NJ and Sylvia Jones b.1819 Mass. Her paternal gparents Erastus Jones and Sallie Clark both natives of Sheldon (Seldon?) Falls Mass. John Leonard Brown and Angeline Butler had 12 children. I have quite a bit more data on these people if anyone wants it. I may be slow to answer as I have a lot going on right now, but I am interested to hear from anyone working on this family.
