I created a web site from the information PP&L sent me when I requested information. It was known as the Purdytown Cemetery and the web site is http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~mjwanc/purdy.htm Annie Palmer -----Original Message----- From: Diane [mailto:pandreasen@stny.rr.com] Sent: Thursday, March 18, 2004 4:41 PM To: PAWAYNE-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [PAWAYNE] LAKE WALLENPAUPACK CEME. Does anyone know if the cemetery that was moved when Lake Wallenpaupack was made, had the records (in their entirety) placed anywhere? Is the Paupack Ceme. site on-line that cemetery and, if so, is it complete? Annie, Your site refers to "burial records" in the Wayne County Courthouse. Can -- or anyone -- tell me how complete such records are, and what years they cover. Thanks. Thanks to all of you who responded to the above cemetery query. I had seen that site in the past and had forgotten it. Years ago we were given directions to the Paupack Ceme.: 'Rte 6 left of lake; 1st right will follow out to Greentown. Before Greentown is Paupack Ceme.' Is this correct? We tried to find the place, but couldn't! I am interested in the cemetery because it was suggested by Ida Mae Roe (she helped me when I first began genealogy) that my Benjamin KELLEY and wife Mary (HOLE/HOEL) might be buried there. Have never found them. Diane * * * * * * ~ ~ ~ ~ Please check our Home Page ~ ~ ~ ~ * * * * * * http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/a/n/d/Sharon-D-Andreasen/
