    3. Carol, Agree. It may have been such a horror story for the children that the skedaddled as soon as they could! I did a search on Jeff and Jeffrey, but of course if it was his middle name that wouldn't work. It occurred to me that the Jefferson Tyler in Susquehanna Co. was the culprit and just never married Clara but that's pretty farfetched. Incidentally, I also checked the cemetery books yesterday and found Roscoe and his wife, but no sign of Jefferson or Clara.
