Hi Ann, Boy, you were right! The obit sure did raise some questions. I have a Clara (Clarisse) Sheldon, born 23 Jan 1863 in PA, died Jan 1932. However, she is married to a Frederick A. Rivenburgh. Together they had 7 children between 1879 and 1901. Granted most of the information came from a GEDCOM posted on Rootsweb, especially the maiden name of the woman and her birth and death info. However, the names of the children and the first name of Frederick Rivenburgh's wife were verified through Census records. I did find conflicting information between census records for the 1920 Census. Mr. Rivenburgh is shown as being divorced and living with a daughter and son-in-law, Ida and Clarence Roney in Preston Township.Mrs. Rivenburgh is shown as being divorced and living as the housekeeper in the home of Frank Bush in Mount Pleasant Township. Roscoe must have married very late in life because through the 1930 Census at age 37 he is still single. However, he is boarding in the home of Bert A. Brining. I have all of the surnames mentioned in the obituary in my database, but none of the first names except for a Frank Tyler who married a second cousin Elinor Stevenson. But I have no info on Frank...just his name. I do have Elinor Stevenson's parents and grandparents. Elinor is part of my direct line. The 1910 Census shows a Verne L. Tyler, aged 13, born in PA, as the stepson of Frank Cole, aged 56, whose wife is Clara A. Cole, aged 48. On the 1900 Census Roscoe was aged 7 and shown as boarding in the household of Lidia Cole, who had a son, Frank, who is shown as 46 and single. So perhaps the Mable who was married to Depew Teeple was actually a half sibling of Roscoe and did not have the Tyler surname. Boy, what a puzzle this is!!! Thanks for the obit. Carol
The Frank Tyler that you are talking about is the son of Verne Tyler ----- Original Message ----- From: <CMMEADOWS2@aol.com> To: <PAWAYNE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, March 21, 2004 12:43 AM Subject: Re: [PAWAYNE] ROSCOE TYLER > Hi Ann, > > Boy, you were right!
