Noticed the names of Jno. H. Williams & Lyman Ames in the Thomas Bortree will. Does anyone know anything further about these two men? My gggrandmother, Alice McFarland Stevens was the niece of a John H. Williams and ended up living with him after the death of her mother, Nancy Williams McFarland. Have found that Lyman Ames was living in the same house with John, his wife Lucy A. (Ames?) and Alice. Also curious as to what is meant by "Register for the probate of wills and letters of Lyman Ames, Administration..." Marilyn Smith
