    1. Starlight, Wayne Co., PA---question?
    2. Supposedly, Minnie (Blanchard) Wainwright, wife/widow, of Charles, (d. 1895) was the postmistress, or mail person at Starlight for several years. So says her grand daughter, alive and in Calif. how's THAT for tracking. Said g-d also related Minnie remarried, last name may not be Wainwright. (she d. 1914) Is there a list of those who did this? I know in Delaware Co., etc--NY there is. and I asked over here at mine this a.m., they said there is a list going back as long as this little p.o. has been in existance. Thanks for any help. I appreciate anyone taking time out to check.. going to be 90 today in NC--but we are very dry.

    3. I took a look at the book "Nomenclature of Wayne," which is a reprint of a series of articles by Thomas J. Ham published in the Honesdale Citizen 1905-1907. The articles were compiled in 1995 by Pike County Historian George J. Fluhr and the book was recently reissued by the Wayne County Historical Society with an index. The series is constructed around area post offices and gives considerable history of the areas covered, but unfortunately it only mentions the first postmaster at Starlight, who was George Wainwright. The location of the post office was "a farm house about two miles from its present location, now known as the Clark Du Mond farm;" Not much help, I'm afraid. 3. Hi Ann: Is there anything about James Kimble or Levi Kimble in this book? James Kimble died sometime after 1870 in Paupack Twp and Levi Kimble was living as late as 1880 in Paupack Twp. 3. The National Archives has the list of postmasters, and the lists are also available on microfilm at the Field Branches for their respective areas. They are in Record Group (RG) 28, Records of the Postal Service; M841, Records of the Appoinments of Postmasters. 1832 to 30 September 1971. There's 145 rolls of microfilm.
