    2. Marjorie, Have you tried to trail them by following the canal and railraod routes? In the 1850's they're were digging canals all over Wayne and Luzerne Counties. That's how my Murrays from Hawley got to Wilkes Barre Pa. Good Luck Pat

    3. Pat, The D&H Canal did indeed bring many immigrants to Wayne County, but it was completed by 1829, and it ran from near Kingston, NY only as far as Honesdale Honesdale.
