    1. [PAWAYNE-L] WALTON in PA and Ireland
    2. WALTON in Ireland late 1700-1850 George WALTON was born in England in the1700. He was married to ORMSBY (English) and Sallie/Nancy DOLAN (Irish). His family immigrated to Ireland. His children were Henry married a GIBLIN sister; Margaret married a DONEGAN, Thomas married Bridget GIBLIN and Nathaniel married a Bridget. Henry, Margaret, Thomas and Nathaniel were Catholic. George WALTON had other children but I do not have any information on those children other than they were non-Catholic or married non-Catholics. The Catholic branch emigrated from Ireland and possibly immigrated to Canada. Some WALTON remained in Canada, possibly in the Hamilton area, while others immigrated to Pennsylvania (Hawley, Mt. Pleasant in Wayne Co PA and Scranton in Lackawanna County) and New York (Kingston and New Amsterdam). I have developed information on the Catholic branch in the United States but have been unable to develop information on the non Catholic branches in the United States. I also have not been successful in developing the WALTON family in Ireland or England. Possibility DONEGAN came from County Sligo based on tombstone found in Catholic cemetery in Hawley, Wayne County Pennsylvania.
