    3. Both Horace and Mahala were the children of James and Polly Underwood Woodmansee. My ancestor Mary Jane Woodmansee was their sister. I don't have the children of Mahala, but the children of Horace and Mahala (not necessarily a complete list) were: Descendants of Horace Woodmansee Generation No. 1 1. Horace4 Woodmansee (James3, Gideon2, ?1) (Source: 1860 Federal Census, Buckingham Twp., Wayne Co., PA, Page 548.) was born 30 April 1832 in Pennsylvania (Source: (1) 1860 Census - Buckingham Twp., Wayne County, PA., (2) Eldad Geer, Pension Certificate #626330.), and died 12 July 1910. He married Mercy Williams (Source: WCHS Cemetery Book.). She was born 1836 in Pennsylvania (Source: (1) WCHS Cemetery Book., (2) 1870 Census - Preston Twp., Wayne County, PA.), and died 1909 (Source: WCHS Cemetery Book.). Notes for Horace Woodmansee: Gravestone Inscription (copied 1989): Horace Woodmansee - 1832-1910. Notes for Mercy Williams: Gravestone Inscription (copied 1989): Mercy L. Woodmansee - his wife [Horace], 1836-1909. James Woodmansee's will names granddaughter Polly, daughter of Horace and "Mary" Woodmansee. Since Mercy Williams lived until 1909, I have simply added Polly to the list of Horace and Mercy's children and assumed that "Mercy" was read as "Mary" by the clerk who copied the will.
