HIGHLIGHTS ARE: Strategies for effective and efficient genealogical research on the Internet... Creative ways to research with online digitized indexes and text. Tips for using Internet search engines to cut through online clutter and find what you want. Methods for combining Internet and repository research to get optimal results. Our Speaker A native Manhattanite, Leslie Corn is a professional genealogist serving attorneys, private investigators, heir searchers, and private clients. She is a member of the New York Genealogical & Biographical Society's Library Committee, Education & Publication Committee, and Subcommittee on Collection Development. An active author and lecturer, Corn is also a consultant to Primary Source Media, a subsidiary of Thomson Corporation, for their online genealogical offerings to individuals and libraries. She volunteers at the NY County Clerk's Office/Division of Old Records and the National Archives, Northeast Region. She is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists, NYHS, NYG&BS, and JGS. Corn holds a B. A. in English and a M.A. in Psychology. There will be a monthly business meeting at 9:00 A.
