Possible some of my ancestors emigrated from Ireland to Canada. Some stayed n Canada while others immigrated to Wayne County (Hawley, Mt. Pleasant, etc). In trying to back track is there a particular pattern that appears in the migration process from Ireland to Canada to PA. Interested in researching the Canadian aspect but not sure of where to begin. From what I have been able to gather appears my WALTON line came to Canada, some remained while others moved to Wayne Co. My great grandfather Robert WALTON (born in Ireland circa 1823) married Ann FEE (born circa 1823 in Canada) circa 1845. Robert WALTON and Ann FEE WALTON then settled in Scranton, PA. It seems many of the Irish who were not railroaders went from Hawley area to the Scranton area, and in some cases to New York State. Appreciate any thoughts and suggestions. Thanks Walt Walton J.
