Ann Thank you for your response to my inquary. First let me say that my grand father was always known as Elmer E very few people knew he was actually Elsworth Elmer. Next, I have him born October 11, 1863in Wayne county. His father was Francis Lightfoot Lee born in 1836 also in Wayne county and I beleive the same farm that was sold when ELMER moved into town. Francis was married to Elizabeth Woolheater of Delaware county NY. As to the idea that he was actually from NY,I had not considered that but will look into it.
