Hi List! Does anyone know where I can get the phone number for the Hamlin Cemetery, or its caretaker? When I called the number that appeared next to it on the Wayne County Website, I got someone else instead, it was a business, tires, or some such. Any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much and have a pleasant day. Beth Rupert
For What It's Worth; Sorry, I haven't been there since 2000 (i live in GA.). I believe the cemetery is called Salem Cemetery and the caretaker is part time. I don't think he stays on the premises on regular hours. Sorry, I couldn' find the telephone number. But maybe the name will help. BTW, several of my family members are buried there, hence my interest and, albeit, scant information. Good chance that the fine people at the Wayne County Historical Society can help. They were very helpful to me. Somebody, several years ago gave me a copy of a Hamlin Cemetery Inventory made in 1987 by Burlin Abbey and Richard Eldred. It is a print out and it shows name , date of dth and age or DOB.
