    3. Lee, The Citizen has had many incarnations. It's been the Wayne County Citizen, the Honesdale Citizen, several other names and is now the Wayne-Pike News Eagle in Hawley. The Wayne County Historical Society has it on microfilm up until the early 20th century and there are bound volumes at the Wayne County Courthouse. I'm not sure how far back the News Eagle's files go. However, if I'm not mistaken, at least some of Will Dix's articles were in the Independent, not the Citizen. He also wrote a short history of Shehawken in booklet form. Incidentally, the Wayne County Historical Society has complete microfilm copies of the Herald and of the Independent right up to the present date as well as many years of the Citizen. Also the Hancock Herald and many very early local papers. The Deposit Library has the Deposit Courier. All of these are great sources for Northern Wayne items.
