Hello everyone~ A puzzle we are attempting to solve. -Missing from 1820 Palmyra census records--both children of Silas Woodward. Charles Woodward age 16 and Daniel age 14. Only silas and a female in household. Acc'ding to family lore, charles went "away to school" and we wonder WHAT schools were in existence then in WHAT locations for a 16 year old male. (By 1830, it 'appears' that Charles and wife and baby are back living with silas and female. Charles does stay in Wayne. Daniel settles, acc'ding to one source, somewhere in Luzerne County.) Does anyone have knowledge of schools in Wayne/Luzerne in this time pd.? regards from Binghamton Holly Jagger
