Hello, My gggrandmother was Katherine Langendoerer, and she had a sister named Barbara - according to Katherine's obituary, she was survived by a sister, Mrs. Peter Balles - I believe this was Barbara. Their parents were Wendell Langendoerfer and Elizabeth Rice. Katherine Langendoerfer married Joseph Herzog. His parents were Joseph Herzog and Walburga Schilling. Joseph and Walburga had a son, Peter, who married a Kate Balles. Peter and Kate supposedly stayed on the Herzog farmstead in Berlin Twp. all their lives. It was at the end of Bates Road from Cliff street. The families were primarily from Honesdale, PA. Does this sound like it might tie into the lines you have? Kim, Yes, yes, yes, you tie into our line! Barbara Langendoerfer was our great aunt, by marriage to Peter. Do you have any further information on Peter and Kate (Balles) Schilling? I know our Balles line crosses with the Schilling line when Peter Balles' brother Henry (our grandfather) married the daughter of Catherine (Schilling) Ecker. But Kate isn't from Henry's line. I also have a rather extensive book on the Schillings, descendants of Conrad Schilling (probably about 2000) names, but there isn't a Walburga listed. She could of been Conrad's sister as there isn't any information about his siblings. Thank you so very much for this information, you've been very helpful.
