Iris, Interesting. I found him as Carmie in 1880 and Carma (still a strange name for a boy) in 1870. In both years his father was listed as Davis A. Gaylord, but Davis/David's presumed father was named Milo. I don't suppose the name Carmie runs in the Lillie family either?
