    2. Patty Hankins
    3. Iris - I think that this one is OK. I know that at least some of Anjou's Probate Record Books are fine. I'm just not sure how many he did - and thus - how many are any good. But I figure anything from it should be checked in other sources - just in case this one isn't any good. I don't think any knows the full extent to which Anjou made stuff up - but that most of the genealogies are suspect since he is known to have faked some of them. McDonald, Lackawanna County, was born in Hawley, Pa., Wayne County, September 28, 1858; moved to Dunmore, Lackawanna County in 1863, where he has since resided; is a moulder by trade; was educated in the common schools and Wyoming Seminary; studied law with Hon. Lemuel Amerman; was admitted to the bar in October 1883, and is now engaged in the practice of his profession; served as auditor, school director and borough solicitor of Dunmore; was a member of the House of Representatives, sessions of 1887 and 1889; elected to Senate November 1890. Senate of Pennsylvania, 1891-92 addresses of members: McDonald, M.E. Postoffice: Scranton, Lackawanna County Harrisburg Residence: Bolton House An article appeared in the Scranton Tribune May 1, 1902, which discusses an article that appeared in the Postal Clerk's Magazine. The article details the impact that Mr. H. J. CAVENEY of San Francisco, CA made on the life of postal clerks. In the article it mentions how Mr. CAVENEY was a former merchant in the Bellevue section of Scranton, PA and the cousin of PA Senator M. E. Mc Donald and M. W. Walton the Foreman of the Scranton Times. While I am interested on obtaining information on MC DONALD, CAVENEY and WALTON lines I am also looking for suggestions on how to obtain additional data on Pennsylvania Senator M. E. MC DONALD. I do know he died in 1921 but do not know at this time where he died and where he is buried. Thanks for any help, information and suggestions Regards, Walt Walton J. Perhaps the shipping delay means that it is not yet available and Heritage Books will be offering a pre-publication price, but I went ahead and ordered my copy from B&N. Ann

    3. Winifred, Ledgedale is on the edge of Pike and Wayne Counties. The lake is Wallenpaupack. Not sure what all counties it covers. The tannery I refer to is now under the lake. The lake was completed around 1929, I think. From what I understand, there were several tanneries in the NE PA area, so I don't know if this would be the tannery you are looking for or not.
